Can’t you see why? Such cuties!!!

And obviously a big part of the family, so only appropriate that they are included in the family pictures, right?

Okay, so this session obviously wasn’t all about headshots, but that’s the category it best fits (: This lovely lady is running for a judge seat in the February election. Smart, enthusiastic, and sincere – a great combination if you ask me. So, as they say, vote early and vote often! Moreso the former than the latter, please.

Keep your eyes peeled – you may just see a photo of Nichole, taken by yours truly, on a billboard during your morning commute (:

Enjoy, and have a happy Halloween weekend!

Headshot sessions are always surprising to me because they are usually with adults and it takes a few minutes for me to adjust to photographing someone who does exactly what I say when I say. Somehow I managed (: and Kyle and I ended up having a fun (and often funny) adventure exploring a beautiful old church in Logan Square. Oh, how I can’t wait to get back in there for more pictures! So, Kyle, you will be hearing from me since I know you have a key!!

Enjoy! And, Kyle, your gallery is nearly ready. Hurrah!

The Giebelhausens were kind enough to let me tag along on a little excursion to Aleksandre’s favorite park (the one Grandma takes him to!). It was a fun adventure and I was glad to capture it for the family. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did (:

I just love how these conversions look – old and faded and wonderful.

Jim & Tina, the gallery will be ready soon!

Wow! I can’t even tell you how much fun these three were to photograph – full of life and personality (and endless energy)! They made me feel like a kid again. For an hour or so anyway (: Check ‘em out:

We were all exhausted by the end of it!

Mom, your gallery will be up tomorrow!

I love it when I get to do “a day in the life” sessions. They are a lot less like “work” and a lot more like an adventure! A couple weeks ago I got to hang out with the O’Keefes during some quiet time at home and tag along on a windy walk to their favorite lakeside park. Such a fun day for me!

Here’s a little preview from their session. You may remember Siena from her newborn session (which seems like just yesterday…).

Enjoy!!

Last weekend it was HOT. After a July with an average temp of 68 degrees, suddenly dealing with temps in the 90s was a bit of a shock to the system! I still had a great time photographing the Glencoe Grand Prix – the excitement and drama of the races totally [well, almost] took my mind off the heat.

I worked with a great group of writers and photographers Sunday, and the end result of that work is going to be a coffee table book of the weekend’s events to benefit the Glencoe Educational Foundation. I will let you know when the book is available for purchase (:

Oh, and does anyone know these cuties? I didn’t get their contact info, but if I recall correctly they called themselves the “Grove Street Crew” or “Grove Street Posse.” I have some really adorable pictures of them that I’d like to send their way, if only I new how!

This gallery is way past complete, but I did promise more images on the blog. Plus, I wanted an excuse to post my absolute favorite image from the entire day. I just adore the archway and the way they are looking at each other.

And I always enjoy the photo of the bride and groom walking back down the aisle together… it’s always one of my favorites.

Some other favorites… first, the beautiful Pleasant Home:

And some randoms from the day (trying to avoid posting the traditional wedding photos this time-except for the dancing. I love the dancing.):

First of all, congratulations to Elizabeth and Liam – their post has 25 comments so they will get a special gift from city|view photography! Look for it in the mail soon.

Second, we all know how much I love the OpLove sessions, so I am very glad that Cassie and I were able to work in a session while her husband was on leave in Chicago for a couple weeks. He’s back over seas now, and I know he is missed, so I hope this little preview brings a smile to some faces (:

Cassie, your gallery should be up earlier than I expected – tomorrow or Friday!!!
