Wow. The only description I can think of for July is insanely busy [but FUN]. On top of photography, I am taking two classes that are fun and creative and challenging [and veryvery time consuming]. The weekend of July 4th seems like ages ago. That Friday I photographed the wedding of a fun and beautiful couple at the fun and beautiful Pleasant Home in Oak Park. Here a are just a few detail shots from before the ceremony. More to come, as usual. Weddings always get multiple posts!

Seriously. It was lovely. (:

A few pics from last weekend’s wonderful wedding. Beautiful ceremony, adorable couple, huge party… all the makings of a fabulous day! And I was honored to capture some of it (: Here’s a tiny pre-ceremony preview.

Some wedding images!! Weddings generate so many photographs, that it’s difficult to narrow it down to just a few for the blog. But, here you are…. I just realized there are none from the reception, so I may do another post with a few of those later this week.
R&P got married out in the ‘burbs, but their reception was at the W in Streeterville, about a block from my old apartment… it was fun to be back in the old neighborhood! In between, photos were taken at Olive Park, which was a favorite picnic spot for J and me when we lived there. It’s also a wonderful place for photographs!

A few detail images from the reception… you’ve all see wedding cakes and placecards before, so I’ll try to find something else (:

I thought an image of Table 8 was appropriate for this 8.8.08 wedding.

Love this one because the bride is just in awe… her new husband had planned a big surprise – the guy singing and playing guitar in the background, singing their song. It was very sweet. Awww…. (wish I could remember his name, though!).

And just because I love to see a happy, fun, dancing bride!

Okay. End of 8.8.08 wedding images! Soon to come – Labor Day wedding images!! And much more.

Here are a few more from the 8.8.08 wedding. Does one wedding really warrant four posts? YES!! So much happens on a wedding day, and I took about five times as many photos as I’d take during a portrait session. How can I not post a little snippet from each part of the day? (:
The trolley ride was, of course, fun. So smart to stock it with food and drinks so the wedding party can be replenished and refreshed for the par-tay!

And the Baha’i Temple, which was beautiful.

Love the complete randomness of this one.

And the jumping shot, just because I can (: And the girl next to the bride just cracks me up!

Okay, now just the reception to go. You guys are very patient, and I thank you!

Some more images from the 8.8.08 wedding… these are from inside the church (obviously). It was a gorgeous wedding at a gorgeous location in Rogers Park, with plenty of stained glass.

More wedding images to come over the next week or so. I also have some maternity/couple images, as well as previews of a beautiful eight-year-old and her enormous BFF, Shamrock!

Friday was a gorgeous Chicago day – 70s, blue skies, white puffy clouds… must have been all that 8/8/08 luck (: That day I had the pleasure of second-shooting a wedding in Rogers Park. K&S had a beautiful, fun day and it was obvious how in love they are. Makes for wonderful images, no?
Here are a few of the bride getting ready…. more to come of the ceremony, reception, and a stop at the Baha’i temple in between.
