A few detail images from the reception… you’ve all see wedding cakes and placecards before, so I’ll try to find something else (:

1

I thought an image of Table 8 was appropriate for this 8.8.08 wedding.

2

Love this one because the bride is just in awe… her new husband had planned a big surprise – the guy singing and playing guitar in the background, singing their song. It was very sweet. Awww…. (wish I could remember his name, though!).

3

4

And just because I love to see a happy, fun, dancing bride!

5

Okay. End of 8.8.08 wedding images! Soon to come – Labor Day wedding images!! And much more.

~Anna

Here are a few more from the 8.8.08 wedding. Does one wedding really warrant four posts? YES!! So much happens on a wedding day, and I took about five times as many photos as I’d take during a portrait session. How can I not post a little snippet from each part of the day? (:

The trolley ride was, of course, fun. So smart to stock it with food and drinks so the wedding party can be replenished and refreshed for the par-tay!

1

And the Baha’i Temple, which was beautiful.

3

Love the complete randomness of this one.

4

And the jumping shot, just because I can (: And the girl next to the bride just cracks me up!

5

Okay, now just the reception to go. You guys are very patient, and I thank you!

I think we’re all allowed to think that our pets are cuter than everyone else’s pets… but in my case, I’d be right! Here’s what our prettyprettyprincess Ruby was up to this morning…

1

And Mr. Furryhead (aka Jack), who is not feeling too well these days….

2

And the closest you’ll get to seeing them in a photo together (in which they aren’t being held down!):

3

I had just tried the old trick of bribing Jack to get what I wanted, but he was more interested in locating the treat I’d mentioned than posing for the camera. Luckily I’m quick with the shutter (:

Okay, back to business. Later today I’ll post the final images from the 8.8.08 wedding (two more posts worth!). It’s about time, right? I’ll be second shooting another wedding this weekend, so I guess I should get the other one all wrapped up here on the blog.

Enjoy!

~Anna

I guess this post could be under “Families,” too, but we’ll keep them in couples for now. And what an amazing couple they are! The Chicago Triathlon did not check with me before scheduling, but we all managed to work together in harmony at the Museum Campus (:

Just one quick preview for J&A today… but more to come in the next day or so as I have more time.

And check out little Jarvis – the camera loves that little beagle!

Enjoy!

Wanna see some images from a FUN session with a super cool eight-year-old? I thought so. Without further ado, meet C and her BFF Shamrock! They really make the coolest duo ever…

1

And C is quite a dancin’ machine – she taught me a few moves. This one was my favorite…

2

I cannot wait to finish with this gallery – it was impossible not to take great photos of C!

~Anna

I think from these images you can tell what a fun, loving (and fun-loving!) couple S and TJ are. So easy to photograph, and whizzes in the kitchen!! I can’t wait to meet their little one – it won’t be long now, so keep reading those baby manuals, TJ!

1

Isn’t this the sweetest?!

2

The fabulous mom-to-be…

3

And the little one…

Some more images from the 8.8.08 wedding… these are from inside the church (obviously). It was a gorgeous wedding at a gorgeous location in Rogers Park, with plenty of stained glass.

More wedding images to come over the next week or so. I also have some maternity/couple images, as well as previews of a beautiful eight-year-old and her enormous BFF, Shamrock!

Friday was a gorgeous Chicago day – 70s, blue skies, white puffy clouds… must have been all that 8/8/08 luck (: That day I had the pleasure of second-shooting a wedding in Rogers Park. K&S had a beautiful, fun day and it was obvious how in love they are. Makes for wonderful images, no?

Here are a few of the bride getting ready…. more to come of the ceremony, reception, and a stop at the Baha’i temple in between.

Last Thursday I got an urgent call to photograph…. chopsticks! How can I not love this job? Of course I dropped whatever I was doing and went. How could I not?!

Friday I photographed (as a second-shooter) my very first wedding… an 8/8/08 wedding, so I guess it was a lucky day to start! It was a gorgeous day with a gorgeous bride, so be on the look out for some posts and photos soon (:

Environmental Graffiti recently posted some spectacular image of Earth, taken by NASA’s satellites, and exhibited in 2000 at the Library of Congress. This one of the Malaspina Glacier in Alaska is my favorite:

You can see the Library’s Earth as Art exhibit online.

Also check out Environmental Graffiti for other great pictures of this planet (for example, another of my favorites: the 10 Creepiest Trees on Earth).

Enjoy (:
